VIII RISA Convention took place on 25-26 April, 2014. Its subject was ‘Metamorphosis of the post-crisis world: new regionalism and scenarios of the global management’. The programme included 2 plenary sessions, 29 sessions, 2 roundtables and a few partnership events.

The opening plenary session was jointed with the opening of the Global University Summit. Among others, MGIMO Rector A.Torkunov, Deputy Prime-Minister of Russia O.Golodets, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs S.Ryabkov, Deputy Minister of Education and Science V.Kaganov and Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federation Council of Russia M.Margelov, took part in the session and contributed to the discussion afterwards.

Second day was marked by the discussions on such topics as European energy security, Russian-American relations in the light of the political transformations in the post-crisis world, transformation in the post-Soviet and post-Socialist countries and the aims of the Russian foreign policy.
