7th Russian International Studies Association Convention Application Process Is Now Open

Dear Colleagues! We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 7th Russian International Studies Association (RISA) Convention “ Resources of modernization: Opportunities and Limits of International Context” that will take place September 28—29, 2012 at Moscow State Institute of International Relations (76, Vernadskogo prospect, Moscow). To participate in the VII Convent of RAMI please register online by May 10, 2012.

Dates of the Convention

 

According to the tradition, participation in the 7th RISA Convention is free of charge. Participants only need to submit summaries of their reports which will be carefully examined by the members of the Program Committee. The program of the Convention will be prepared when all applications are processed. This will allow the Program Committee to take into consideration participants’ interests and the latest trends currently widely discussed in the world scientific community.

Main Convention subject areas within which sections will be created are as follows:

    1. Modern international relations and foreign policy conceptualization (theory)
    2. Foreign policy resources and strategic forecasting
    3. Retrospective analysis of the modernization processes
    4. Normative expansionism. Legal dimension of the international relations
    5. Financial crisis and political economy of the international relations
    6. Political culture and foreign policy process
    7. Sociology of international relations: the phenomenon of virtual communities
    8. The Great Powers and leadership hierarchy
    9. “The Club Diplomacy”: New formats (BRICS, G20)
    10. Post-soviet Eurasia: Structuring of the region
    11. The USA: The post-election prospects
    12. Asia Pacific: The factors of transformations
    13. Greater Middle East: Democratization VS Islamization
    14. Africa: Resource dependency
    15. Europe: Recovery from recession?
    16. Latin America: Modernization paradigms in the context of the modern global challenges
