XII RISA Convention

On 21-22 October, 2019 MGIMO-University will host the 12th Russian International Studies Association Convention (RISA) “The World of the Regions vs. the Regions of the World”. The event is supported by MGIMO Alumni Association, Endowment Fund and the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund.

The basic program includes the work of sections devoted to the topic of the Convention.

Those who would like to organize or moderate a conference in the framework of the 12^th RISA Convention are welcome to submit the topic and expected participants list to risa@inno.mgimo.ru. The deadline — 30 July.

Those who take part in the 12th RISA Convention as speakers are expected to submit to the moderator the abstract and the whole text of reports or articles. Please mind that the report or article must be organized according to the requirements prior to the day of the Convention (more information in Publications).

The collection of texts in the aftermath of the 12th RISA Convention will be published by the start of the 13th RISA Convention.

In the framework of the 12th RISA Convention a scientific contest among young researchers is to be held in three nominations: “Best Monographic Paper”, “Best Collective Research”, “Best Scientific Article by a Young Researcher”.

You can submit your applications from 10 July to 10 September. The awarding ceremony will take place in the days of the 12th RISA Convention.

Participation in the 12th RISA Convention requires registration and payment.

The Organizing Committee offers two participation packages:

Package 1 (fee – 1700 rubles)

1. Badge of participant
2. Bag of participant
3. Publication in the collection of conference papers
4. Meals (coffee-breaks, lunch, reception) during two days of the Convention

Package 2 – for MGIMO staff only (fee – 850 rubles)

* Meals are not included, but there is an opportunity to order them for the fee of 850 rubles.

Important dates of the 12th RISA Convention:
1 July — start of registration on the RISA website;
15 July — publication of the sections list on the RISA website;
30 September — deadline for online registration (obligatory for all participants);
5 October — deadline for the abstracts of reports and articles;
15 October — deadline for the texts of reports and articles;
21-22 October — 12th RISA Convention.
