Registration for XIII RISA Convention now open
On 14–16 October, 2021, MGIMO-University will host the 13th Russian International Studies Association Convention (RISA): “Thirty Years of the New Russia’s Foreign Policy”.
As is tradition, the event will bring together more than 2,000 leading Russian and foreign scholars who will discuss the evolution of Russian foreign policy over the past three decades, the transformation of social policy in modern context, the peculiarities and dynamics of relations with newly independent states, and the current international legal aspects of world politics.
Those who would like to organize a section or hold a conference in the framework of the 13th RISA Convention are welcome to submit the topic and expected participants list to risa@inno.mgimo.ru.
Special meetings of a number of multilateral and bilateral dialogue platforms as well as partner academic and educational institutions events will be held on the margins of the Сonvention, including:
- The 1st Russian Open International Conference on Sustainable Development and ESG-Transformation;
- Israeli-Russian Conference on the Middle East;
- The 4th Polish-Russian and Polonist Conference;
- ASEAN-Russia Conference devoted to the 25th anniversary of the ASEAN-Russia Dialogue Partnership;
- A special session on Afghanistan (together with the International Institute for Central Asia and the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Uzbekistan);
- “Post-Crisis World Order: Challenges and Technologies, Competition and Cooperation” (together with IMEMO);
- Trianon Dialogue sessions;
- Sochi Dialogue sessions.
Experts, practitioners, and Ph.D. students are invited to participate. Registration is required for participation. The participation fee is 1,000 rubles for MGIMO staff and 1,500 for other participants.
